DAY 11

I head to Route 35 to battle some trainers. Ghost is out front.

Camper:

Vulpix LV15 vs Ghost LV17... night shade kills

Camper:

Sandshrew LV13, Marril LV13 vs Ghost LV17... night shade x4 kills. Ghost reaches LV18. I switch to Arya.

Camper:

Pickachu LV16 vs Arya LV17... sweet kiss and two extrasensory attacks later, he dead.

Juggiler:

Voltorb LV2, Voltorb LV6, Voltorb LV10 vs Arya LV17... takes them all out with extrasensory and the she reaches LV18.

Voltorb LV14 vs Clegane LV18... double kick crushes them. He paralyzes me so I heal after the battle and teach Clegane TM Dig instead of peck.

Bug Catcher:

Venonat LV15 vs Loras LV18... three headbutts take it out.

I find a paralysis Heal and TM Payback.

Bird Keeper:

Pidgey LV12 vs Loras LV18... headbutt kills

Pidgeotto LV14 vs Valyrian LV18... rock tomb smacks it down.

Loras beats up a wild drowzee and reaches LV19. Next I head into National Park, I find quick claw and give it to Mertyns. I give Soothe Bell to Ghost and teach TM Payback instead of lick. Finally Ghost has another typed attack.

Poke Fan:

Snubbull LV16 vs Mertyns LV18... uproar times three.

School Kid:

Oddish LV12 vs Mertyns LV18... peck times two take it out.

Voltorb LV15 vs Mertyns LV18... sonic boom puts me down to 9HP so I switch to Clegane and use dig to crush it. I use potion on Valyrian, Loras, Ghost and super potion on Mertyns.

Lass:

Oddish LV14 vs Mertyns LV18...  I take it out but get poisoned.

Cubone LV17 vs … I switch to Clegane and get it. Next I battle wild mon really quick and Mertyns reaches LV19. Then Celgane reaches LV19 as well. I switch to Arya and continue.

Poke Fan:

Raichu LV16 vs Arya LV18... switch to Valyrian after rock throw raichu is down.

I enter Route 36 and find a blue apricorn.

Psychic Kid:

Abra LV14 vs Arya LV18... because of flash I take it out after five extrasensory.

Kadabara LV6 vs Valyrian LV18... Confusion knocks me down to 13HP so I switch back to Arya and survive the next attack with higher Sp.Def and then I take it out. Arya gets to LV19.

Abra LV14 vs Ghost LV18... and smack it down. I use super potion on Valyrian and put Ghost in front.

School Kid:

Tangela LV17 vs Ghost LV18... I reach to LV19 after I take it down and learn confuse ray.

I save my encounter till after sudowoodo tree. I go back to National park and switch to Valyrian and train to LV19. I switch to Mertyns and then beat up some bugs. I reach LV20! What? It evolves into Noctowl.

I head back to Goldenrod City and heal then I put Clegane in front and head to the gym. I walk through the gym and challenge Whitney...

DAY 10
We continue on Route 34. I train Clegane and he reaches LV16. What? He evolves into Nidorino.

I switch to Ghost and prepare for battles.

Camper:
Psyduck LV14 vs Ghost LV16... 3 night shades knock it out.

Youngster:
Mankey LV10, Diglett LV12 vs Ghost LV16... he retreats mankey and then I just keep night shading and take out first diglett then mankey. Ghost gets to LV17 and I switch to Loras.

Poke Fan:
Snubull Lv13, Mareep LV13 vs Loras LV16 I take them out with a mix of poison powder, razor leaf and a crit with headbutt on mareep. Loras reaches LV17. I head back to Goldenrod City. I heal and put Arya out front and then head to the underground city because I need to see the barber to get Arya's happiness up more. I enter the tunnel.

Super Nerd:
Grimer LV11, Grimer LV12 vs Arya LV16... extrasensory crushes both of them

Poke Maniac:
Lickatung LV12 vs Arya LV16... it consues me and my attack misses so I switch to Clegane and he uses two double kicks to kill likatung.

I walk up to the barber and have him give Arya a haircut to up its happiness. Then I head back to the center and heal. Arya is upper close to the next level, so I walk to the nearest grass patch and battle a drowzee. Arya gets to LV17. What? she evolves into a Togetic. (freaking called it)

I switch to Clegane and continue battling.

 

Camper:

Hoppip LV9, Bulbasaur LV12 vs Clegane... poison stings and peck do the job against those mon. He reaches LV17.

Hoppip LV9 vs Mertyns... takes it out quick.

 

I'm done with trainers on Rout 34. I head back to heal and then since its Tuesday I go up to National Park for the bug catching contest. I'm really hoping for a Scyther or Pinsir. I choose to use Ghost as my companion for the contest because he can put them to sleep and he is immune to a lot of attacks and can't be poisoned. We walk in for the contest and I run a few circles and get my first encounter...a weedle LV16... joy. (o wells) I lick it and put it to sleep then catch it and name it Manticore. Then I walk around and find a Soothe Bell, and TM28 Dig. I end the competition and don't win any places so they give me a shed shell. They also officially give me Manticore and its sent to the PC.

I switch Mertyns up front again and head back to the tunnel.

Super Nerd:
Magnimite LV7 vs Mertyns LV17... I switch to Clegane and demolish it
Magnimite LV7, Magnimite LV9, Voltorb LV11 vs Clegane LV17... he takes them all out.

Poke Maniac:
Slowpoke LV11, Slowpoke LV11 vs Mertyns LV17.. I take out the first one but after some growls I switch to Ghost to finish the second one.

Mom calls with an item she bought, I go to thestore and pick it up, a repel. I'm done with the tunnel trainers now. I heal then train Mertyns to LV18 and Clegane to LV18. Next I put Loras in front and  head to the gym to take out some more trainers.

Beauty:
Meowth L16, Meowth LV16 vs Loras LV17.. I beat them both but a bunch of fury swipes put me down to 14HP. I head to the center really quick then come back.

Beauty:
Snubbul LV17 vs Loras LV17... I make short work of him and Loras reaches LV18. I switch to Valyrian for the next battle.

Lass:
Jigglypuff LV15, Jigglypuff LV15., Jigglypuff LV15 vs Valyrian LV17... between all the rock smashes and rock throws I make quick work of them. Valyrain reaches LV18. I switch to Ghost. That means I have beat all the trainers before the gym leader. I head back to heal my mon and then head to Route 35...

Day 9

I battle the first trainer I see.

Youngster:
Rattata Lv7, Sandshrew LV10 vs Valyrian LV15 … used multiple rock throws and rock smash to beat them up. Valyrian reaches LV16
Spearow LV8, Spearow LV8 vs Mertyns LV16... I use four uproar to wipe them out.

My first encounter is... Drowzee LV12. I put t down to half health and 3 poke balls later I catch it. I name drowzee, Lem.

(I'm nearly out of balls now) As I walk around a few trainers, I run into Lyra. She takes me to the Daycare to meet her parents. I drop of Marygaery in the PC and pick Varys back up for now. Dodging a few more trainers. I enter Goldenrod City. I heal and then go to the Department Store! (woot woot) Buy 10 pokeballs +free premier ball, 2 great balls. I win a nest ball on a different floor. Taking the elevator to the basement and find a burn heal, ether, and ultra ball. at another building I get a coin case. I get a BIKE, yay! Entering the radio tower I procure a radio card with ease and a blue card then I memorize the password station and get a nest ball. then I head north to Route 35. I dodge most of the trainer on the way to my first encounter. BUt run into a few...

Camper:
Diglett LV10, Zubat LV10, Diglett LV14 vs Mertyns LV16... pecks and uproar make it a quick battle.

Policeman:
Growlithe LV14 vs Mertyns LV16... peck- hypnosis- and two uproars later he is down. Mertyns reaches LV17 and learns Reflect.
Grohlithe LV14 vs Valyrian Lv16... rock throw and its down.

I head into the grass and first encounter is hoothoot, since I already have one with Mertyns, I run (no doubles rule) next official catchable first encounter in Nidoran (boy) LV12. I send out ghost and 3 licks and paralysis later I catch it in a nest ball. I name Nidoran, Clegane.

 He is transferred to the PC. Since I'm right by the National Park building, I go in talk to people and then walk over to the PC and switch out Varys LV14 for my new Clegane! I put Clegane in front of the team for switch training and head out. I travel south back to Goldenrod City. I dodge a few trainers but one sees me.

Flamethrower:
Magmar LV11 vs Clegane LV12... I switch to Valyrian and rock throw.
Magmar LV16 vs Clegane LV12... I switch again to Valyrian. Two rock throws finish it off. Clegane reaches LV13 and learns Poison Sting, and Valyrian reaches LV17 learning Rock Tomb naturally.

I scurry down to the center and heal my mon. Next I travel back to Route 34 and train Clegane. I find TM34 Embargo and Clegane reaches LV14 then I go back and heal. Next I enter the normal gym for a quick battle.

Lass:
Sentret LV9, Sentret LV12, Sentret LV16 vs Clegane LV14... Double kick takes them all out quick and I only go down by 12 health I the process. He reaches LV15.

Then I leave the gym and Mom calls she says I have gifts at the department store. I go there and get two halani berries and a babrani berry. I walk back over and heal, then make my way back down to Route 34 for additional training and soon to be trainer battles.

GYM BATTLE:

Bugsy vs Albert

Scyther LV17 vs Mertyns LV15... I hypnotize it and miss, leer- quick attack- then hypnosis works but down to 8HP. So I switch to Valyrian and two rock throws do it.

Metapod LV15 vs Valyrian LV14... rock throw 1 misses, two rock throws take it out.

Kakuna LV15 vs Arya LV15... two extrasensory take it out.

I receive the Hive Badge mon up to LV30 obey me, I can use HM Cut, TM89 U-turn. I exit the center and heal I remember I have a rival battle soon and based on the levels of my mon vs Bugsy I have to do a little training.  I go back to the well and level up some mon; Mertyns reaches LV16, Arya reaches LV15 and learns yawn, Valyrian reaches LV15, Loras reaches LV16... and evolves in Bayleef!

I go back and heal. Then I put Ghost in front and head to Ilex Forest to train. I'm about to enter the forest when lo and behold Swarley shows up. We battle, Swarley vs Albert.

Swarley:

Ghastly LV14 vs Ghost LV14... his uses curse which takes half its health then I lick- he mean looks then two licks later his ghastly is down.

Zubat LV16 vs Arya LV15... two extrasensory attacks later zubat falls.

Quilava LV18 vs Valyrian LV15... (man his levels seem higher) 3 rock throws later its taken out. I take him down easy, he is pissed. He leaves and I go back and heal. I go back and go into Ilex Forest firs encounter. First encounter is Metapod LV5. Ghost uses two licks then 5 pokeballs later, (ugg) its caught. I name it Mullendore and its transferred to the PC.

Next I help find two farfetch'd. I beat up some caterpie and Ghost gets to LV15 and learns Night Shade. (finally another damaging move) I find a revive and get both farfetch'd back. The dude is happy and gives me HM Cut. But now the only mon that can use it is Loras but I don't want to use up a move slot with it. So I go back to the center and heal then switch Varys for Margaery. I teach Margaery HM Cut I talk to the farfetch'd dudes house and the other guy gives me a charcoal item. I head back into the forest and use cut on a bush and head north. I find X-attack, Ether, and Repel. Then I beat up 3 Oddish and Ghost reaches LV16. I talk to a dude about headbutting trees and he gives me TM Headbutt I teach it to Loras instead of tackle. I put Arya in front and head back again, lol. (trust me watching me play is annoying too. constant going back and forth.

I heal at the center in Azlea Town and go back for my encounter in Route 33. I headbutt a bunch of trees and get my first encounter... Spearow LV6 I catch it and name it Roose.

I head back to town and sell the revive because I can't use it anyway in nuzlocke rules. Then I headbutt trees in town and get my encounter, Aipom. I put it to half  health and then 3 pokeballs and 1 great ball later I catch it. Aipom is named Tyrion.

I head through the forest beating up caterpie and oddish and Arya gest to LV16. I switch to Valyrian to train andnext run into a person that gives me TM Taunt. Then I leave the forest and enter Route 34...

DAY 8

Some team rocket dude shoves away an old man by the well. The old guy walks away and the rocket dude stands guard at the well. I head into town and stop at the mart. I buy 2 potions and two super potions. I pick up a white apricorn and then stop into the poke-center to heal. I walk around town and talk to everyone. Team rocket is guarding the gym. At the last house I chat with an old man named Kurt. He's PISSED! He rambles about dudes stealing slowpoke tails and selling them. Then he runs off to confront them at the well. (I wonder where I should go next) I get to well and the guard is gone and I go down. At the initial room Kurt is there complaining about falling down and hurting his back. He asks me to continue on, and I do. I enter the next room and prepare for battle.

Rocket Grunt (boy):
Rattata LV9, Rattata LV9 vs Arya Lv 12... multiple Extrasensory attacks make quick work of both mon and then Arya gets to LV13. I pick up a super potion and then switch Varys in front of the team to train.

Rocket Grunt (girl):

Zubat LV9 vs Varys LV12... I switch to Valyrian and rock throw him down.
Ekans LV11 vs Varys LV12... I poion sting a couple times then switch to Valyrian again and use rock throw to finish him. I check a random rock off by its self and sure enough there is a super potion there as well. I walk further and then first encounter in the well! Its a LV6 Slowpoke and I use a leech life from varys to put it at half health. Then I toss a Lure ball at it and catch it. I name slowpoke Hodor.

It gets sent to the PC and I continue on.

Rocket Grunt (boy):
Rattata LV7 vs Varys LV12... we exchange blows until Varus is down to 7HP and then leech life knocks it out. Varys gets to LV13. I switch to Valyrian after the battle.

Excecutive Proton:
Zubat LV8, Koffing LV12 vs Valyrian LV12... I take out zubat quick and then exchange blows with koffing but it poisons me and I'm down to 10HP so I switch to Ghost. He cant poison me and tackle cant hit ghost types so I lick it a bit and then win. ( I really need some more moves on Ghost) Valyrian reaches LV13.

Proton complains about the disbandment of Team Rocket 3 years ago. I save the slowpokes. Team Rocket leaves and Kurt walks up congratulates me and then take me back to his house. He gives me some fast balls and then I give him a black apricorn to make into a ball. I heal at he center and then go back to the well to train Ghost some more. He beats up to slowpoke and then gets to LV14.(learns nothing) I go back and heal then go to the gym.

BUG GYM:

Bug Catcher:
Caterpie LV12, Weedle LV12 vs Mertyns LV14... it crushes them.

Bug Catcher:
Weedle LV7, Kakuna LV9, Beedril LV12 vs Mertyns LV14.. I smack down the weedle and kakhuna like no ones business and then after Beedrill gets a crit and and Mertyns hits 9HP I switch. I call out Valyrian and Rock throw it down. Mertyns gets to LV15. I switch Valyrian to first in the team and continue.

Twins:
(first double battle) Spinarak LV10 and Ledyba LV10 vs Valyrian LV13 and Arya LV13... rock throw takes out ledyba and extrasensory takes our spinarak easy.

Bug Catcher:
Paras LV13 vs Valyrian LV13.. it posion powder's me but two rock throws take it out. Valyrian reaches LV14 and learns Rage.

I go back to the center and heal my mon then I head back to the well and I train several mon up. Arya reaches LV14, Loras reaches LV15, and Varys reaches LV14. I head back to the center and heal again and then I head to the gym. Before I enter the gym, I switch Mertyns out front. I make my way to the back of the gym and stand it front of Bugsy the gym leader...

DAY 7
Time to battle trainers! I walk out of the center on Route 32 and battle the first trainer I see.

Youngster:
Wooper LV10 vs Arya LV11... after two extrasensory and a crit later. Wooper falls.

Next a Camper:
Nidoran (boy) LV9 vs Arya LV11... Extrasensory destroys nido. Arya goes up to LV12

Fisherman:
Golden LV10 vs Loras LV12... Razor leaf kills (bwahaha) Loras up to LV13.

I switch to Mertyns for training.

Fisherman:
Magikarp LV5, Magikarp Lv15, Magikarp LV5, Magikarp Lv5 vs Mertyns... they all collapse under Mertyns power. (he had the high ground)

Fisherman:
Poliwag LV8, Poliway LV8 vs Mertyns, I assault with pecks as they try to hypnotize me. my ability insomnia protects me. I beat both and Mertyns gets to LV13 and learns Uproar.

I switch to Valyrian to train because I like my whole team to be pretty even in level.

Camper:
Nidoran (girl) LV8 vs Valyrian LV11 I use a couple of rock throws, one misses but the third one take it out.

I complete my battles on Route 32 and go back to the center and heal. Next step is Union Cave, I head out of the center. I keep Valyrian in front to battle and level up. I walk in and beat up a wild sandshrew. next a weird orange trainer.

Flamethrower:
Vulpix LV9 vs Valyrian LV11... he destroys it with Rock Throw.

There are stairs to a bottom floor, I go down. I find an X-defend, X-speed, TM39 Rock Tomb. I beat up another sandshrew and a zubat.  Valyrian gets to LV12. I switch back to Loras and run into a dead end that I need HM Surf for. I head upstairs and travel in the cave more. I continue to battle.

Hiker:
Onix LV11 vs Loras LV13... one Razor leave takes it out. Loras gets to LV14.

I switch to Ghost, who I haven't used in awhile.

Hiker:
Geodude LV4, Geodude LV8, Geodude LV6 vs Ghost LV12... Ghost slowly takes them down with a lot of licks. Each mon got paralyzed during the battle but could do next to nothing because they mostly tried to use tackle. Then I beat up a wild sandshrew after the battle Ghost reaches LV13.

I think about switching to Varys but it looks like another Flamethrower up ahead so I select Mertyns instead.

Flamethrower:
Koffing LV6, Koffing Lv6 vs Mertyns LV13...  he uses peck to down the first, the second one poisons me with poison gas but I take him out. I heal Mertyns with antidote. I find a great ball and potion in the cave.

Poke-Maniac:
Slowpoke LV11 vs Mertyns LV13... I peck- then amnesia- hypnosis- sleep then I uproar. Slowpoke alternates between tackle and growl as I uproar at him constantly. He faints probably from all the noise. Mertyns reaches LV14.I find an Awakening and see a bright light ahead! I exit the cave and enter Route 33.

I pick up pink and black apricorns. I choose to wait for my encounter on the route and switch to Arya to take on the Hiker up ahead. It's special attack should handle his mon quickly.

Hiker:
Geodude LV12 vs Arya LV12... 3 extrasensory attacks take it out, then he calls out a Machop, I switch.
Machop LV11 vs Varys LV12... I use a couple poison stings as it uses focus energy and then leer. I SEE YOU MAN! I switch to Ghost and it karate chops me which does nothing. (called that) I lick it twice with a crit once and knock it out. I'll come back for my encounter after a get to the next Poke-center. I continue on and enter Azelia Town...

DAY 6
After catching my new team member, Margaery. I decide to scoot around some trainers, taking note of some fisherman on the route and I find a pokemon center towards the bottom of the route. I walk in and heal my mon. I talk to everyone one in the center and one guy hands me some lure balls. I exit the center and see a sign. I almost walk into a trainer but manage to dodge him and I see a cave entrance. The sign reads < --- Union cave. Yay a new encounter!

 I put Loras out in front and enter the cave. I walk down the corridor and see a trainer ahead I turn around and get my first encounter!... Zubat (since I already caught one and I'm doing the no duplicates rule) I run away. I go up and down the corridor two more times and then an encounter...  LV7 ONIX! SWEEEEET! Loras uses poison powder- it tackles- Loras tackle- and it goes below half health. I throw a great ball and catch it. I name Onix, Valyrian. Then it is sent to my PC since my team is full. I exit the cave and then scoot over to the center. I switch Margaery for Valyrian, giving me 5 mon and an egg. I decide to deposit bellsprout because I already have grass and poison mon and I need to cover against fire and flying types.

I teach Valyrian. HM6 rock smash and travel back up Route 32 because several places have smash-able rocks back in my previous places I've been. Also it gives me a fighting move to help against other rocks and normal types. I exit the center and use rock smash on a rock and then find shell bell!

I go over to Ruins of Alph first. I smash some rocks finding a green shard and then RARE CANDY! (NOOIICE). Then I walk back into Violet city and over by bellsprout tower I smash a rock and find a hyper potion! (SWEEET) I decide to start training Valyrian in Dark Cave first to get up 2 levels and catch him up with my other mon.

Before I head out I heal at the center and give Loras a miracle seed (I forgot I had that lol) and Mertyns the shell bell (because why not?) I head over to dark Cave and train Valyrian.

He gets up 3 levels after 20mins to LV10, (I learned Rock throw at LV9) and I head back to the center. I heal now that I'm closer to my other mon's levels I'll head back to Route 32.

I exit the pokecenter and suddenly... Uh-oh. My egg hatches into LV1 Togepi (freaking awesome!) and I count it as my encounter in Violet city. I name Togepi, Arya. (obviously)

Elm calls right away and tells me to visit. Since I need to train Arya anyway I put it as my lead mon. I give it shell bell instead of Mertyns. I begin the trip back. I'll leave out the long walk back and just mention that I do a lot of switch training with Arya out front and then switching mon to a stronger mon to level it up. I notice that Arya already gets Extrasensory to start from the get go. By the time I get to New Bark Town Arya is LV4. I talk to Elm, heal at the lab and talk to Mom. Then I head back allowing Arya to battle a lot of mon on the way through. By the time I'm in Violet City Arya is nearly LV7. Extrasensory is crushing mon left and right. So I heal in Violet city and go back to Route 31 and get Arya to LV8. It learns Metronome. Next I move back to Route 32 to finish training Ayra. I pick up TM Bullet Seed by some woods. I continue training until Arya is up to LV11. Now all my mon are level 11 or 12. I scoot back to the center on Route 32 and prepare for battling all the trainers...

GYM 1
Falkner  VS Albert!

He chooses Pidgey LV9 and I choose Varys. We exchange blows tackle then poison sting 3 times. Then he uses sand attack and I use a final poison sting. Varys is now down to 13HP. Next he chooses Pidgeotto LV13. I switch to Mertyns. He tackles then I use hypnosis; then asleep- tackle- asleep- Peck( which does a little bit more)- then he wakes up and uses tackle. It activates my Oran berry. I peck- then he uses roost. I switch to Ghost, he uses gust- (extra damage) Ghost uses hypnosis; then sleep- potion on Mertyns- sleep- I NEED A NEW STRATEGY...hmm...switch to Loras- he wakes then uses gust and I use poison powder Loras down to 17HP (less then half). switch to Mertyns then we exchange pecks for tackle and gust. meanwhile poison chips damage all over but I need to get the kill before a roost. I peck and crit it puts him to nearly dead he uses gust. Mertyns down to 9HP but poison knocks him out!

VICTORY!

I receive the badge, TM Roost, I can use Rock Smash out of battle, up to LV 20 obeys me. I do a little dance then exit the gym.

Elm calls immeadiatey and congrats me then says to head to the pokemart. I heal my pokemon, drop off my useless Dothraki in the PC. I head to the pokemart and receive the egg I delivered to Elm earlier in my quest.

I buy a few supplies at the mart for the next long route and cave; 10 pokeballs +free premier ball, 1 potion, 2 antidotes, 1 paralysis heal, and 1 awakening. I exit with my goodie bags.

A kimono girl approaches me. She talks about the awesomeness of my egg and to be safe and take care of it. She leaves and I begin my next journey.

I travel southwest and enter Route 32. ( I'm hoping my next encounter is Mareep or even Wooper so that I can diversify my team or cover weaknesses) I walk past the first grass spot and battle a trainer. He uses a Rattata and Zubat but I dispatch them with Varys or Ghost. I move to the next grass spot.
the first pokemon appears and its... a Rattata... I run. (Now I'm using the rule where there are no repeat mon once I catch one. So since I caught Tickler earlier in my quest I can move on to a new encounter. The next mon is... Rattata. I run. Third encounter is... Bellsprout! Not my first choice but I battle it with two poison stings and then catch it. I name Bellsprout, Margaery. (It might help with the upcoming cave or a decent back-up if Loras falls.)

She joins my team at LV6. I continue on...

DAY 5

I train in Route 31 east of violet city:

Loras LV11
Mertyns LV10
Varys LV10
Ghost LV10

Once I reach these levels I start into Bellsprout tower. I go through all the trainers using Mertyns and Varys. Each monk has several bellsprout. I continue my march through the tower to the 3rd floor. I take out the initial monks out quickly the last of which has hoothoot. Then I walk around a pillar and BAM! My rival Swarley turns and talks to me. At this point I'm stressed that I will have to battle him but he talks down to Elder the monk he just beats. Then tells me to piss off and uses an escape rope. Whew glad that happened.

I walk back to the poke-center the heal up before my battle against Elder.
I arrive back and battle Elder.
He sends out Bellsprout and I send out Mertyns. Mertyns crushes him with a peck. Elder sends out Hoothoot. Each of us exchanges pecks 3 times, his third one crits me and Mertyns is down to 1HP. I switch out to Ghost. I use spite twice to try to get rid of Peck. Then he puts me asleep with hypnosis at which point I use one potion on Mertyns. He uses Peck and puts Ghost down to 5HP. I retreat back to Mertyns and he uses hypnosis but Mertyns has insomnia ability. I use peck to finally take him out. He calls out another bellsprout and Mertyns crushes it with 2 pecks and levels up to LV11.

He congratulates me and my mon. Then he gives me TM70 Flash. I pick up an escape rope next to him.

If LV10 Hoothoot can be do that to my team then I need to level up a little more before the flying gym. I go back to Ruins of Alph because behind the Kabuto puzzle it said the words escape on it. I stand in front of the word on the wall and use my escape rope. I mystically reveals a hidden door and I go in.

I find a Pecha Berry, Oran Berry, Energy Powder, Heal Powder.

Then I drop back into Ruins of Alpha, beat up a few unknown, and head out. I swing by the pokecenter and then train again in Route 31. I train Varys and Ghost in the grass to level up. Then I head into Dark Cave and train Loras against the geodude and zubat. Loras Levels up to 12 and learns synthesis!

After everyone in the team levels up. I travel into town, heal and begin my Gym conquest.

The first Trainer has a LV9 Spearow. I call out Mertyns and we exchange pecks till I knock him out. The Second trainer calls out a LV7 Pidgey. Mertyns smacks him down as well with peck twice. Next the trainer calls out another Pidgey. I decide to see how Varys will hold up to a flying time in preparation for the gym leader. Varys releases back to back poison stings the second one poisons the Pidgey. Then Pidgey begins to use sand attack. despite lowering my accuracy and taking half my health it dies from poison. match over. Since it went well I decide to go heal my mon and battle the gym leader.

I heal my team, grab Dothraki from my box for back up mon fodder and I give an oran berry to Mertyns. I'm expecting to use Mertyns a lot for the battle and need him prepped for battle. I put Varys out front to take on the initial mon and poison them. Maybe take them out or switch to Ghost or Mertyns for hypnosis. I knew he had a Pidgeotto from previous matches years ago, so I plan on using Mertyns to hypnotize, then wearit down with peck and tackle.

I enter the gym...

Day 4
We marched out of the Poke center with more resolve after losing two mon so quickly. I travel to Bellsprout Tower ready to battle some trainers and level up. I battle one trainer and then I stumble upon a new encounter! A Ghastly Lv3 appears, I slowly lower the level with poison sting from Varys and then catch  my new mon named Ghost!

 After catching my new mon I head out of the tower for some key training.

Mertyns Lv8(hoot)
Varys Lv7(spin)
Ghost Lv3(ghast)
&useless Dothraki Lv5

I drop off Dothraki in the PokeCenter and head out for training...

Day 3
 I complete a puzzle with Kabuto on it, then I fall through the floor. I land in the mystical ruins of Alph. I decide to use this as a time to level up my mon. Unknown D Lv5 appears after a few steps, I toss out Harrenhal and use Leech Life. It does minimal damage and then it slams my mon with a crit-hit, supper effective, hidden power and Harrenhal dies! NOOOO

R.I.P. Harrenhal

After losing my mon so suddenly, I throw out Tickler and select to run. The Unknown D has none of that and doesn't let me run. It releases another Hidden Power and crits again!!!!!!
Down goes the Tickler...dead! WHAT!NOOOOOOOO!

So in moments I've lost two mon FOREVER!

I toss Loras out because of her level she lands a strong hit and absorbs the hidden power. (not super effective, maybe HP Rock) I throw a ball at the strong Unknown D and catch this bain of a pokemon.

I name it Dothraki

I escape the ruins and run back to the Pokémon Center to lay my dead mon to rest. So long my friends you left us too soon. I save and take a break after such a rough patch.

DAY 2
I leave Cherrygrove after leveling up my mon and grabbing some pokeballs. Traveling north I battle a bunch of trainers and then make my way into route 31. I pause here to prepare for my next encounter (remember I can only catch the first mon I see and if they faint there are no other pokemon to catch.

I run some circles in the Grass and up pops Lv4 Rattata, I put him to sleep with Mertyns (Hoothoot) and take 1/3rd of the health then catch him; I name my Rattata, Tickler.

I walk a little further on and see a cave. I decide to go in and try to catch another member to the team.
I take two steps into Dark cave and a Lv2 Zubat appears. Mertyns puts it to sleep then 2/3rds damage on a tackle. Next I catch it! Now I have a Zubat named Harrenhal.

So now my team is beginning to take shape:

Loras (chikorita)

Mertyns (hoothoot)

Varys (spinarak)

Tickler (rattata)

Harrenhal (zubat)

I continue on my journey and make my way into Violet city. I heal my mon and explore the town. I swing up above town and pick up HM6 Rock Smash but wait to teach it. I go out and train Tickler and Harrenhal each two levlels and then heal again. Then I decide to travel into Ruins of Alph. I find a great ball in a rock and enter one of the puzzle rooms...

DAY 1
A new story begins in the land of.. JHOTO(Heartgold)!

So I (ALBERT) chose to start my new adventure and moved to New Bark town.

I talked to everyone in the town including a friend named Lyra, as is my usual, and then go to see Prof. Elm. My trainer ID ends in #3 so I select my starter, Chikorita! (all pokemon will be named in reference to game of thrones) I name chikorita- Loras.

Since we don't receive pokeballs until after the first quest I record the pokemon I'm required to try to catch after I visit Mr. Pokémon. First encounter route 29 Hoothoot.

I make it to Cherrygrove after training two levels and get running shoes! (sooooo helpful since walking takes forever) I walk through route 30 and first encounter Spinarak. I get an apricorn box and some apricorns. Finally I get to Mr. Pokemon. Loras (chikorita) is Lv8. I chat with him and Prof. Oak. I get the egg to take to Elm and their phone numbers for something in the future. I walk outside and get a phone call about something wrong at Elm's lab.

I travel back to Cherrygrove and heal my mon in prep for my first rival battle.

I save and then battle my rival. He stole cyndaquil and I quickly beat him up with minimal damage done to Loras. Then I run to Prof. Elm. The Police are their with him and we chat. It turns out my rival in a dude named SWARLEY! I then deliver the egg to Elm and head out.
I receive pokeballs by Lyra a friend I met.

Finally I can try to catch my first encounters.
I catch LV3 Hoothoot and name it Mertyns!

Then I travel to Route 30:
I catch a Lv3 Spinarak and name in Varys!

I train Loras, Mertyns and Varys up a few levels and then continue forward...

So some quick back story. As of 2019 I have completed two successful nuzlocke quests in Pokémon, one each in Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Moon.

 I chose Generation 3 because I played that most as a kid and remember a lot about the routes, story line and gyms. I figured it would give me the highest chance to enjoy the nuzlocke experience. I chose Ultra Moon for the opposite experience. I have played it only 6 times between sun/moon, and ultra moon.  Both experiences were fun and added a fun but stressful new aspect to the game play.
 I will post more about them in the future.
